Samantha's Mitzvah Project

November 2022

Samantha's Mitzvah ProjectHi, my name is Samanta Dalin, I am a 7th grader at Manalapan Middle School in New Jersey. I enjoy spending time with my friends, cheering and playing field hockey.

On November 19th I will become a Bat Mitzvah. When it was time Samantha's Mitzvah Projectto decide what I wanted to do for my mitzvah project I knew I wanted to do something to help animals. I am very passasionate about this because of our dog Charlie. Charlie has been part of our family since I was eight years old. I know not all dogs are as lucky and fortunate as Charlie.

While searching different organizations I came across Sam’s Hope. They have so many wonderful programs to help the less fortunate animals.

One particular program I was interested in was called Meals Samantha's Mitzvah Projectfor Pets of the Homebound and Ederly which helps these families that are faced with these terrible circumstances.

They provide home delivered pet food and supplies to those that are in need of assistance. They have helped so many families, so their pets are not taken away to shelters.

For my mitzvah project I have decided to volunteer and collect pet food and supplies for Sam’s Hope. I asked the local community, family and friends. Everyone was great in supporting this wonderful organization.

On Friday, November 11th, Sam, her mom Lori, and sister Samantha's Mitzvah ProjectAlyssa arrived at our office in Warminster with their SUV trunk LOADED with pet food and treats! And despite the looming bad weather, they spent some time volunteering; packing dog food for the pets of our homebound and elderly!

Sam collected:
